The launch of the new Terminal Self Checkout model took place at the EXPOAGAS fair in August, in the city of Porto Alegre. The Mini Express model was presented at the event which was attended by important players and suppliers of the supermarket segment. In addition to the fair, the equipment was also presented at the ABRAS 2017 Convention, the largest event of leading supermarkets in Brazil.
Toshiba Brasil in a technical / commercial partnership with Schalter had already presented to the market, in 2016, the Self Checkout System TS, a robust product capable of meeting the needs of the most demanding supermarket chains and was considered from the participation in AUTOCOM, One of the most complete Self Checkout on the market.
Self Checkout Mini Express has great performance in terms of quality and competitiveness. According to Vicente Jungueira, Brazil Brand & Marketing Manager of Toshiba, although Self is still considered a national novelty, the market is demanding a superior product, compared to the first solutions hitherto provided. The launch of this product with inside Toshiba technology already demonstrates this commitment, which in itself proves its full potential.
Model Differentials - Smaller Footprint, More Flexible Functionality, But Equally Robust and Efficient. Its features are unique, only found in imported products, such as the construction in the integrated cabinet format. In this sense, it is observed that the Self Checkouts of national competitors have the electronic modules that make up the product fixed on supports in the cabinet which gives the appearance of a support rack.
According to Valtuir Caetano, President of Schalter, the launch of the Mini Express validates the company's know-how in developing and marketing state-of-the-art and value-added products and solutions, so our responsibility is great and we like it.
