CUSS (common Use Self-Service)

After two years of development and investments of more than US $ 300 thousand dollars, we began to manufacture in the national territory the first CUSS (Common Use Self-Service) terminal for airports. This terminal follows the standards established by the IATA (International Air Transport Association) and is intended to allow the shared use by airlines of self-service terminals at airports. This solution is designed to be complete and capable of providing the best user experience and is already found in Brazilian airports, such as Guarulhos, Confins and Galeão.

The main benefits of terminal sharing are the reduction of individual investments by airlines, since in most airports CUSS terminals belong to airport operators, agility in the check-in process, reduction of queues and improvement of the customer experience .

Throughout the design process the Rockwell Collins company was our primary partner, providing all guidance to ensure that the terminal met the CUSS standard completely and the first result of this technical and commercial partner emerged with certification in Tulsa, USA. According to Edson Bezerra, Director of Sales and Business Development for Rockwell Collins Airports Systems in Latin America. The statement states that "working with Schalter will enable us to provide competitive solutions, manufactured in Brazil, making them much more accessible to airports."

With the launch, we became part of the select group of worldwide manufacturers of this type of terminal along with EMBROSS (Canada), NCR (USA), IER (France) and SITA (Switzerland). Our terminal is one of the most complete in the market, as it has a fullpage passport reader, 2D barcode reader, pass-through printer, baggage ticket printer, second monitor and scale. Some modules are optional, configurable according to the need of the airport.

Schalter stands out more and more in Brazil as a leading company in self-service terminals and the launch of this product has shown our ability to produce equipment with quality and technology opening markets to compete with international players.
